B W Roos Chichester: John Wiley 1969 pp xiv + 521 price £9 7s This book lies in the often neglected region between advanced mathematics and its application in engineering and physics, and will therefore prove very useful. It goes considerably beyond what is normally expected of British undergraduates in physics or engineering, but much of the material could usefully be taught to honours mathematics undergraduates and would follow very well the conventional 'pure' mathematics course in complex analysis.
