The pressure dependence of the Knight shift K in V metal is measured. The explicit temperature dependence of K is derived from a previously obtained $K(T)$ at constant pressure and the present pressure-dependence data. Several methods of estimating the volume dependence of the d-band susceptibility χd are discussed. Using the estimated value for dlnχddlnv, the volume dependence of the orbital Knight shift K₀ was derived. It is concluded that the volume dependence of 〈r^-3〉 plays an important role for the volume dependence of K₀.
