Summary On the basis of the psychologists' ratings of the WAIS or WISC, Bender-Gestalt, and Rorschach, 76.7% of 30 Tourette patients had signs of “mild” or “moderate” organicity. Fifty percent had organic abnormalities on psychiatric evaluation, 58.3% on neurological evaluation, and 50% on electroencephalographic evaluation. It was concluded that patients with Gilles de la Tourette's syndrome had significantly greater organic impairment than found in a normal population.
