A theory of electrical conduction in hygroscopic solids developed in Part I of this paper is applied here to wool and silk. Very good agreement is obtained with published experimental data. Application of the model leads to the prediction that sorbed water in wool and silk exists in two separate phases, and extensive evidence from the literature is cited in support of this prediction.
