The primary purpose of this article is to explore the unique career educational needs of gifted girls. Specifically, three identified problems associated with giftedness among female students are investigated: sex role conflicts, multiple abilities and interests, and lack of same‐sex role models. Additionally, potential solutions to these career related obstacles are explored.
