Self‐Diffusion of Phosphorus in the Amorphous Alloy Fe₄₀Ni₄₀P₁₄B₆

In amorphous and crystallized Fe 40 Ni 40 P 14 B 6 alloys the self‐diffusion coefficient of phosphorus is investigated using radiotracer and a microsectioning technique. Diffusion coefficients of 4 × 10 −19 to 5 × 10 −17 cm 2 s −1 are determined in the temperature range between 553 and 823 K. They do not obey an Arrhenius law.
