NINDS stroke research groups deliver 2 to 3 priority proposals plus 1 cross-cutting initiative.
Priorities Meeting held on August 29 and 30, 2012. Through this process, each of the working groups delivered 2 or 3 proposals, as well as 1 joint proposal (cross-cutting), that represent combined, modified, and optimized versions of the best ideas. An advisory workgroup of the NINDS Advisory Council, composed of scientific experts, stroke advocates, and stroke association representatives, led the overall process.
