A 42‐year‐old woman presented with widespread secondaries and a mammary mass. A provisional diagnosis of metastatic breast carcinoma was made. Histological evaluation of the mammary tumour including immunohistochemical studies suggested the diagnosis of metastatic malignant melanoma, which was later confirmed.
