Haemodynamic and ventilatory responses, during multilevel bicycle exercise and during multilevel symptom- limited treadmill exercise, were compared in 8 patients with coronary heart disease and in one sedentary middle-aged man, at known percentages of each subject's maximal oxygen uptake (Po2max), determined on a treadmill.
