Why the study?
Severe congenital heart diseases can progress to fetal death or become untreatable after birth, prompting prenatal therapeutic interventions whose clinical implementation and challenges in Japan need review.
Prenatal interventions for severe fetal congenital heart diseases are advancing in Japan, offering a bridge to better postnatal prognosis despite ongoing ethical and systemic challenges.
Supports cautious expansion of fetal interventions for arrhythmias and aortic stenosis in Japan; leaves open protocols and ethics for Ebstein anomaly.
