David N. Bailey, Director of Clinical Laboratories, Director of the Toxicology Laboratory, and Associate Professor of Pathology at the University of California, San Diego, received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Yale University School of Medicine. He obtained his postgraduate training in the Department of Laboratory Medicine at Yale, where he served sequentially as National Institutes of Health postdoctoral fellow, assistant resident, chief resident, and instructor in clinical pathology. Dr. Bailey is a diplomate of the American Board of Pathology (Clinical Pathology and Chemical Pathology) and a past president of the California Association of Toxicologists. He serves on the Editorial boards of Clinical Chemistry and the Journal of Analytical Toxicology.
