This study evaluated the personal and professional outcomes in knowledge, attitudes, and course application for 58 students who completed an advanced sexuality course in a college of nursing. The data were obtained through analysis of the students' responses to open-ended questions following a 16-week semester. Results indicated positive changes in students' knowledge and attitudes leading to: (a) increased acceptance of differing sexual values and behaviors, (b) increased comfort with the topic of sex, and (c) increased openness to the sexual concerns of patients and clients. The authors call for further r esearch and support for the inclusion of sexuality courses in nursing education.
