This study aims at clarifying the effective form of open space in reducing the heat island in Tokyo and the Saitama area. This study was obtained land use data by using the Landsat data and obtained the temperature data in an AMEDAS and an air pollution observatory. And this study was considered the relation between form of open space and temperature by analyzing those data. Consequently, clarified the difference in the lowest temperature by form of open space (a concentrated type, distributed type, circumference type), and relation of the lowest temperature of an observatory and the distance from center of Tokyo. Furthermore, it was obtained the formula, which presumes the lowest temperature, and the lowest temperature figure, by those results.
