Success at implementing family-planning goals was studied in relation to internal-external locus of control of reinforcement and embedded-figures scores among 71 women. The embedded-figures scores were related to success at implementing goals, while internal-external locus was not. It is suggested that face validity and component of attitude measured are important factors in the difference in results obtained on the two conceptually related measures.
