We report the first detailed x-ray spectroscopic data from a fast (1.1 μsec) high-energy (400 kJ) implosion of an aluminized formvar liner. The high-energy (≳1 keV) x-ray data indicate a 400-eV electron temperature and a 3×1020 cm−3 electron density. These parameters pertain to the highest-energy component of the radiation spectrum.
