It is known that snakes,which are important in ecological balance,have approximately 3500 species in the world.It is known that 1/10 of these species are venomous.It is reported that about 2.5 million people are bitten by snakes every year in the world and 125.000 of them result in death.Edema,haematoma and gangrenous lesions are seen as local symptoms after venomous snake bites,while fever,nausea vomiting,circulatory collapse, convusion and coma are seen systemically.
