‘Never judge a book by its cover’. Well, there may be some truth in this, but for this book on multifamily groups, I found it hard to get past its uninspiring book jacket and its general appearance of being a stodgy and dull read. However once through this initial barrier and manfully struggling with the densely printed pages, the content gradually started to take over and engage me. But it certainly wasn’t reaching out as assertively as it could have done, and, if my motivation to read the text had been less, it would have lost me very quickly.
