In this special issue on Mental Health in Australia the unique nature of Australian psychological education and regulation is outlined. Practitioner knowledge of and attitudes towards the deregulated therapeutic activity of hypnosis are explored. Additionally, three unique minority/distinct populations in Australia and their mental health connections are highlighted, those providing treatment in rural Australia are described, and the use of technology in support of and by mental health practitioners is studied. Mental health as it relates to sleep difficulties and culture is also examined. Consequently, an in-depth overview of Mental Health is presented in this double length special issue covering the vast expanse of Australia.
