He has lived abroad and travelled extensively in connection with ELT and ESP programmes, and published a number of articles and books, including ESP (Macmillan 1984) and Language Planning and Language Education (Allen and Unwin 1984). Among his interests are the relationships between language policy and language teaching, and project management and evaluation.
