For seismic monitoring of reservoirs, interference noise from other seismic operations can delay data acquisition because of time-sharing or necessitate additional efforts to attenuate the seismic interference (SI) during processing. We present a method that takes advantage of the different shot interval and flexible recording length of the monitoring system to allow efficient attenuation of the SI by adaptive subtraction. The method is applied successfully to multicomponent 4D data.
