The chromosome numbers (CNs, 2n) and ploidy level (nx) according to the inferred basic chromosome number (x) are presented for 41 vascular plant taxa (including 39 species, 1 subspecies, and 1 hybrid) from 26 genera and 12 families: Amaryllidaceae: Allium; Apiaceae: Angelica and Pleurospermum; Asteraceae: Doronicum and Leucanthemum; Cannabaceae: Humulus; Fabaceae: Asrtagalus, Caragana, Hedysarum, Medicago, Melilotus, Onobrychis, Oxytropis, Thermopsis, and Trifolium; Lamiaceae: Prunella; Melanthiaceae: Paris; Primulaceae: Primula; Poaceae: Brachypodium and Poa; Ranunculaceae: Aconitum, Anemonastrum, Anemone, and Eranthis; Rosaceae: Sanguisorba; Violaceae: Viola. The studied specimens originated from Mongolia and Russia (Irkutsk Region, Republic of Buryatia and Republic of Khakassia). The CNs were for the first time established in four species: Astragalus arkalycensis (2n = 16), A. ionae (2n = 96), Oxytropis ammophila (2n = 16), and Poa tshuensis (2n = 28). For the other species, previously known CNs have been confirmed.
