Heparin-like hexasaccharides have been synthesized by using a preactivation-based, one-pot glycosylation approach for the analysis of heparin–protein interactions. In their Full Paper on page 8365 ff., X. Huang et al. describe this new strategy, which facilitates the understanding of the structure–activity relationship of fibroblast growth factor-2.
