Efficient hollow double-shell photocatalysts for the degradation of organic pollutants under visible light and in darkness

First synthesis of hollow double-shell H:Pt–WO ₃ /TiO ₂ –Au nanospheres with very high specific surface area, high TiO ₂ /WO ₃ interface and strong visible light absorption. This type of material shows high charge separation and electron storage capacity for efficient degradation of organic pollutants both under visible light and in the dark with very high quantum efficiency.
