Objective: Monitoring outcomes of head & neck cancer (HNC) patients during and after treatment, gives healthcare professionals tools to improve their care and to inform patients in perspective of expectation-management. Since outcomes could differ depending on type of treatment, patient-reported outcomes (PROs) for HNC patients receiving a single-modality treatment versus multi-modality treatment were monitored in order to provide a personalized follow-up. Study design: Prospective, observational, multicentre study. Setting: Patients from three hospitals participating in the Dutch Head & Neck Audit (DHNA).
