Vanadium has been grown on (111) oriented silicon substrates using the hydrogen reduction of . The reaction kinetics related to the growth of the deposits has been investigated. V‐Si diodes fabricated from the deposited vanadium on silicon samples were found to have a barrier height of in agreement with that theoretically predicted in other studies.
