The GRE Analytical Ability Test is examined as an admissions factor for the master's degree in library and information science. GRE General (Aptitude) Test scores and undergraduate and graduate grade point averages for graduates of the University of Illinois Graduate School of Library and Information Science master of science degree program were correlated; test scores and undergraduate grade point averages for denied applicants were also correlated. The correlation coefficients produced were generally higher than those reported in previous studies.
