Detection of the interior functionalization of fluorescently labeled ArgoPore, glass, polystyrene, and Tentagel beads is made possible by the use of optical analysis (see diagram). This analysis is useful for the evaluation of both the polymerization and amino-funtionalization processes that are relevant to the reactivity of these resins during solid-phase synthesis.
