Male ( n = 248) and female ( n = 195) personnel professionals responded to a stress at work survey. The results indicate that females report more stress from organizational politics than do males. However, females report no more stress than males concerning work/home conflicts or career progress. Females do report significantly higher levels of distress than do males, both psychologically and physiologically. And, males report significantly higher levels of exercise and sports activity than do females.
