The expressions derived by Rartle, Thorne, and Chitre and by Chandrasekhar and Friedman for the change in frequency of a radial mode of a spherical star induced by a slow and rigid rotation are applied to the lowest modes of stars constructed from a n = 3/2 relativistic polytropic equation of state corresponding to an ideal nonrelativistic free neutron gas.
