Five pedagogical techniques were used to teach the senior level business policy course. The relative effectiveness of the teaching techniques was secured through the use of a specialized course evaluation. The results suggest strongly that cases and/or the business game should be used to achieve most of the goals of the course. Although the game decisions ranked slightly ahead of cases overall, the difference was not statistically significant. Lectures generally ranked poorly, perhaps due to an innate student bias against lectures. Business Week, while ranked last in contribution to four goals, ranked first in achieving the goal of giving students a view of the real world.
