I HAVE recently observed, in a bov 18 years old, a clinical syndrome consisting of extensive flaccid paralysis of muscles with loss of reflexes and with electrical changes; sensory phenomena, mainly subjective; inco-ordination of movements; and hypertrophy and hardening of the nerve-trunks. Almost complete recovery has occurred, and there is evidence of two previous attacks of the same nature.
