Corneal contour of 38 infants was measured with a photokeratoscope. Measurements were facilitated by the use of a semi-automatic system consisting of a measuring microscope equipped with a pulse generator, digital accumulator, and printer. The development of a new system of photokeratoscope calibration based upon an aspherical corneal model has been described. The results of the study are presented in terms of the growth period of the infant cornea.
