A formalism for determining nuclear reaction amplitudes is given in the framework of a second-quantized theory. It allows a unified description of all possible reactions between nucleons, nuclei, and elementary particles; it yields, without any approximation, integral equations for the n-body amplitudes in terms of the solution of 2.... (N-1) body problem; these integral equations can be given a graphical representation. As an example, this formalism is applied to elastic and inelastic nucleon-deuteron scattering.
