Sir.—I read with interest the article Early Suckling and Prolonged Breast-feeding by Taylor et al.1It might be interesting to determine the duration of breast-feeding in those of us who had our babies in the 1940s and early 1950s before to skin and suckle immediately were the vogue. We managed eight to ten months of nursing even in those archaic days.
