Fast generation of iterative phase-only holograms (POHs) with high-quality reconstruction is encouraged in the field of holographic display. The adaptive weighted Gerchberg–Saxton methods often suffer from slow convergence and suboptimal reconstruction quality due to static feedback factors. We propose a generation method of dual-iterative POHs based on an adaptive dynamic feedback mechanism is proposed. The key steps include two iterative processes. First, it employs an optimized initial quadratic phase with the first iterative algorithm, from which a subsequent generation of holograms corresponding to different target images is utilized. Then it regulates exponential feedback coefficients in the second iterative process through adaptive dynamic feedback functions. Finally, the optimized POHs with a comparable performance of holographic images are generated through a low number of iterations. Simulations and optical experiments are performed to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. Compared with the adaptive weighted Gerchberg–Saxton method and weighted constraint iterative algorithm, the proposed method enables a relatively high-quality, artifact-free image reconstruction at a high-speed convergence. It provides an alternative solution for virtual reality and optical computing applications.
