Construction process visualization: a 3D animation of project activities

Most of the commercially available tools allow planner to the build 4D model of construction process but lack in the features like generation and manipulation of components of the 4D model in a single platform. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) based 3D animation of construction project activities linked with schedule is developed in this paper for visualization and review of construction project schedule. To facilitate the manipulation of components of animation on a single platform, both 3D model and project schedule are developed in GIS.
