A computer-interactive multidimensional scaling (MDS) program (INTERSCAL) was used together free response methods to represent and label of individual cognitive structure underlying perception. INTERSCAL reduced by 40% the number of judgments required by each over traditional complete judgment methods. The dimensional structures derived INTERSCAL were predictive of semantic differential judgments, Repertory Grid Test triad , and independent pair-comparison judgments. , one or two dimensions were recovered were labeled evaluative and potency dimensions, . These dimensional structures stable within individuals over a period of weeks. This pattern of overall consistency implies particular characteristics of an individual’s and changes in the relative location the stimuli over time may be given serious consideration, that INTERSCAL is an efficient for scaling such dimensional structures.
