In order that computers understand humans, it is essential to equip them with adequate knowledge. Commonsense thoughts refer to things that most people can do, without even knowing they are doing. Machines do not posses these thoughts, as they are unable to comprehend meaning, which is an intuitive thing. Acquiring commonsense thought invokes the aspect of knowledge about how to think. The most usual way to represent knowledge is to select a representation. Commonsense knowledge requires multiple representations, and there is no best way to represent knowledge. A proficient architecture theory based on multiple representations and multi-modal reasoning can assist in designing systems that allow studying and understanding commonsense knowledge.
