A highly sensitive, high resolution spectrometer for measuring both natural and magnetically induced circular emission spectra is reported. The technique is illustrated with the spectra of Cr 3+ :MgO and palladium octaethyl porphyrin. The performance of the instrument is comparable to that of absorption CD spectrometers.
