The paper presents the structure of primary central nervous system CNS) tumors in the Ozersk population living near the first Russian atomic industry enterprise «Mayak» (Beacon) in the period of 1948—2017 and the results of a comparative analysis of incidence rates with global, national and regional ones. Information on 220 cases of primary malignant CNS tumors in 1948—2017 was collected. The contribution of brain tumors to the structure of malignant CNS tumors decreased, amounting to 100% in 1948—1959 and 78% in the 2000s, whereas the proportion of malignant neoplasms of the brain and spinal cord membranes increased from 7% in 1960—1990 to 20% in the 2000s. That of malignant masses of the brain that is beyond one and more sites decreased, accounting for 38% in 1960—1979, 30% in 1980—1999, and 13% in 2000—2017, averaging 24%. The common site of the tumor process was the temporal lobe (13%). Its histological confirmation was obtained in 182 cases (83% of their total number). Neuroepithelial tissue tumors were prevalent in all periods. There was a statistically significant increase in the incidence of malignant CNS neoplasms in the town of Ozersk versus that in Russia (by 90% and 100% for males and females, respectively) in 1980—1999. In 2000—2017, the incidence in males corresponded to that in the European countries, to the national and regional ones; that in females was lower than that in Chelyabinsk.
