Specific heat, AC susceptibility and magnetisation measurements are reported for EuS y Se 1-y samples. The samples are antiferromagnetic for y<or=0.075 and ferromagnetic for y>or=0.125. In the intermediate concentration range (0.075<y<0.125) mictomagnetism is observed. A magnetic phase diagram for EuS y Se 1-y is derived and a model of the magnetic microstructure within the mictomagnetic regime is developed.
