Quark structure functions have been extracted from low-pT inclusive hadron production data for the pion and kaon with use of the recombination model. n^π=1.0±0.1 and nK=2.5±0.6 is obtained, where n is the leading (1-x) power of the nonstrange-valence-quark distribution. Both the pion and kaon nonstrange-sea-quark functions have n3.5.
