A sporadic female case of German extraction is reported with triphalangeal thumbs and brachy‐ectrodactyly, which to our knowledge has been observed in only two Mexican families up to now. Apart from the previously described symptoms, in this case symphalangism of toes and partial duplication of one big toe occurred. The wide variability and differential diagnosis of this rare autosomal dominant disorder are discussed.
