This paper presents evidence that the microtubules of the manchette in ram, goat, boar, stallion and bull spermatids are linked to both the nuclear envelope and the chromatin by fibers transpiercing the nuclear envelope. It is suggested that this organization, allowing redistribution of chromatin prior to spermiation, is similar to half a mitotic apparatus.
