Does atrial pacing terminate various types of tachycardias?
Atrial pacing, including via a novel inductive radiofrequency pacemaker, is an effective method for terminating various types of tachycardias.
May support atrial pacing for select tachycardias; leaves open generalizability pending controlled studies.
Various tachycardias were treated by atrial pacing. Those treated were supraventricular with and without WPW syndrome, ventricular and sinus tachycardias. The evidence and patterns of termination of the tachycardias have been shown and the mechanism of the termination by the atrial stimulation has been discussed. Our newly developed inductive radiofrequency atrial pacemaker has been also presented.
