The heats of formation of solid copper‐nickel alloys have been determined at 500 °C employing an adiabatic high‐temperature calorimeter. The heat capacities of a 70 at. % Ni alloy between 500 and 1000 °C have also been measured. Using all the thermodynamic information available, the heats and entropies of the solid and liquid alloys have been critically assessed and the extent of the solid miscibility gap and that of the solidus‐liquidus gap calculated.
