Aerobic exercise and cranial electrotherapy stimulation (CES) vs. Control group and aerobic exercise alone group was evaluated on Stress-related hormones (cortisol and ACTH), neurotrophic factors (BDNF and NGF), and mood states (p=< .05). Aerobic exercise, with or without cranial electrotherapy stimulation, significantly decreased plasma cortisol and improved mood states compared to baseline (p < 0.05).
