The magnetic properties of rapidly quenched Fe83−xP17Ex (E = Ga, Ge, As) alloys over the composition range of x = 2 to 8 at% were studied. The specimens were prepared by the Taylor-technique. For supersaturated solid solutions as well as amorphous samples coercitive force values Hc are found of the same order of magnitude. The results indicate that low values of Hc for rapidly quenched alloys are not representative for structural disorder.
