We investigate the ground-state equilibrium structures in a simple model for the orientational glass system (N 2 ) x Ar 1- x in the limit x → 0. The lattice becomes deformed in the local surrounding of the N 2 particle, and we obtain this deformation both in a classical and a quantum-mechanical treatment. The so-obtained wave functions can be used as input functions for a quantum Monte Carlo simulation.
