The essential oils from the leaves and stems of Litsea kostermanin Chang and Litsea cubeba (lour.) Persoon, and the leaves of Litsea gerciae Vidal were analysed to determine the detailed composition of each oils. The major constituents were isolated and identified by GLC, IR, and NMR. The analyses showed that large chemical differences exist among L. kostermanin Chang, L. gerciae Vidal and L. cubeba (lour.) Persoon.
